History

Dr Myint Soe and Mr S. Selvaraj were formerly from Murphy & Dunbar, one of the leading law firms in Singapore and West Malaysia for runners and personal injury claims. Together with other British trained lawyers, they formed the core of Murphy & Dunbar.

MyintSoe Mohamed Yang & Selvaraj

After the dissolution of Murphy & Dunbar, the partnership of MyintSoe Mohamed Yang & Selvaraj was formed with Dr Myint Soe, Mr Mohamed, Mr Y C Yang and Mr Selvaraj as partners with the late legal luminary Mr. H.E. Cashin as their consultant, one of Singapore's longest-serving lawyers.

Dr Myint Soe, the Senior Partner is one of the most senior law practitioners existing in Singapore today.  In view of his scholastic achievements at the University of Rangoon, he obtained a Fulbright scholarship to the United States and studied at Yale and Illinois Universities.  He obtained a Masters Degree in Economics from Illinois University.  He then did Law Tripos at Cambridge University and was called to the English Bar in 1955, and to the Burmese Bar a few months later.

Mr. Selvaraj, the Managing Partner, was trained as an English Barrister. His main areas of practice include road traffic and industrial accidents, matrimonial and conveyancing. He lectures at the National University of Singapore to business undergraduates on a part-time basis.

Mr. Charles Lin, the Consultant, was trained as an English Barrister. He represents doctors in their defences for more that two decades. Hea also acts as solicitors relating to conveyancing matters.
